A PAISLEY-based construction firm has donated hundreds of easter eggs to local charities for the holiday weekend.

The JR Group has donated 800 eggs to charities such as Kindness Homeless Street Team, Glasgow City Mission Child & Family Centre, Jeely Piece Club and Glasgow North East Foodbank.

Eggs were also sent to Beech Avenue Children's Home in Paisley and also further afield to Kirkcaldy Foodbank.

The donation was made by Gayle O'Hear, construction administration manager, who said: “We’re delighted to be able to gift so many different local causes with a share of 800 chocolate Easter eggs ahead of the school holidays thanks to our generous team members, suppliers and contractors.

"We’re proud to play our part in ensuring as many kids as possible will benefit from our donation and would like to thank everyone who contributed."
